Users can save time by assigning passwords, user IDs, or host commands to a single key. Or assign frequently used host queries or commands to individual keys, to speed interaction with host systems. Users can now select the terminal screen colors and its size, to take advantage of host systems that let users adjust the number of rows and columns displayed. Users can clear the terminal screen and backscroll buffer to remove screen clutter or erase sensitive information such as credit card numbers. HyperTerminal PE also now provides color support when emulating VT100 terminals, and supports true pass-through printing, allowing host systems to send instructions directly to the user's printer.
